The Wilson Medical Center Foundation serves as the fundraising arm of Wilson Medical Center. We work to create a healthier community by raising funds to invest in critical areas of healthcare needs, and we are funded by donations from former patients, foundations, hospital employees, corporations, organizations, and generous individuals like you.
When you and your loved ones need health care, isn't it wonderful to find a level of professional and personal care so close to home that strives to excel in all that they offer? When you donate to the Wilson Medical Center Foundation, you join a caring community of givers who are committed to ensuring that they, their family, friends and their neighbors will continue to receive compassionate care and excellent service that can be trusted today and for years to come.
Our communities are what make this area and hospital so special. At Wilson Medical Center, our staff endeavors to treat each patient as a friend. After all, most of our employees and their families live right in this area. We invite you to share our commitment by helping your friends and neighbors. With the support of people like you, we will remain a quality, caring hospital for years to come.
We are a 501 © (3) non-profit organization and donations are fully tax-deductible. As a non-profit hospital, we are grateful for your contribution to sustaining essential services that benefit our community. Due to the ever-changing needs of our patients, there is an increased need for continued education and cutting-edge equipment. Funds given to the Foundation contribute to scholarships, state-of-the-art technology and equipment, and education for patients that will aid them in making their recovery a top priority.
Our Foundation is guided by a board of directors composed of community members who want to continue our tradition of medical excellence in our rural area. Our current board members are:
Casey Lair, Chair
Dennis Shelby, CEO
Lori Smith, CFO (Treasurer)
Doug Depew
Mina Olson, Auxiliary Representative
Joe Marchant
Amy Brown

Clara McCabe, Foundation Director
Plan a Gift and Leave a Legacy: Gifts to Consider
This is as simple as writing a check or authorizing a charge on your credit card. It's easy and convenient and can be made today.
Using real estate - such as your house, farm or commercial property - to fund a gift allows you to preserve your cash assets, receive significant tax and income advantages, and make a larger charitable gift than anticipated.
Donating a life insurance policy, and making the Wilson Medical Center Foundation the beneficiary, could be a wonderful way to fulfill your desire to support our organization.
The most common planned gift is a bequest in a will. No matter your age, no matter how much or how little you have accumulated, having a will ensures that those closest to you will know what, and to who, you want to give. This allows your loved ones to know what charities or organizations you most cherished in life.
By making a gift in memory of a love one, friend or co-worker, you can touch the lives of friends and family while helping to improve the health of others in our community.
Ask your employer if they have a gift matching opportunity. These are donations an employer makes to match its employees' charitable contributions. This will double your tax-deductible donation.
Good health is one of life's greatest treasures. The Wilson Medical Center Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that our hospital can continue to provide compassionate, high-quality service in a facility that offers the latest in technology to our family, our friends, and our communities. Thank you for your support!
